It's Flair Week!!
Get your beach gear ready to display tomorrow!! We have great prizes for those who show the most creativity and deck out their teams! Just a note we will be playing Week 4 games tomorrow and pushing the entire season back by one week.

Welcome to Week One!
Welcome to Spring Bocce in Arlington! All games will be at 7:00 PM at Mosaic Park. PLEASE come 10-15 minutes early tomorrow to find your teams, get courts set up, and get rolling. Tomorrow's schedule is up and the rest is coming soon!

Spring 2013 Captain's Meeting - 4/10 @ 7:00 p.m.!
After weeks of waiting, the Spring 2013 bocce season is about to kick off! To make sure everyone is acquainted with DC Bocce League and the Arlington Wednesday division, you're cordially invited to attend the Captain's Meeting this Wednesday (4/10) at 7:00 p.m. at Mosaic Park in Ballston.
We'll go over the drill for the games as well as court set-up and rules. Once all of the official business is taken care of, we'll head over to our awesome sponsor bar, The Front Page, for some great food and of course, BEER!
Not a captain? That's ok! Everyone is welcome to this meeting and attendance is highly encouraged for league newbies.

Peroni Ticket Contest
Each season we reward teams for drinking our sponsor beers. For each $12 pitcher you buy at The Front Page, you will receive 1 ticket on which you write your team name. Place it in the pitcher at the bar for a chance to win weekly gift certificates. We'll have a drawing each week around 10 pm for Nats tickets, gift cards and more! You must be present to win.
At the end of the season we'll count up all the tickets and the top four teams across the entire league will win some awesome jumbo prize! Prize still TBD, but last year it was a trip to the NOVA Brew Fest, complete with booze-filled party bus and drinking tickets.
The more you drink, the more chances you have to win!

END OF SPRING SEASON PARTY at Yards Park - Saturday, 6/15!
Mark your calendars now to be part of DC Bocce's city-wide Championship and Party! The event takes place on Saturday, June 15th, at the beautiful Yards Park by the Navy Yard Metro. The Yards is an incredible park space right on the water with tiered grass for bocce, river walks, and a covered marketplace. The party will be an all-day bocce tournament with food, beer, and live music.
We'll have more information as it draws closer, but do what you need to do (write it on your arm, pencil it in your calendar, tell Siri, get it tattooed on your forehead), to make sure you won't miss this AWESOME party!
Bar Specials and Sponsors
Following the games, we will make the short walk over to Front Page (4201 Wilson Blvd) across the street from Ballston Mall where we will enjoy food and drink specials. During League nights, members will enjoy DC Bocce food specials and refreshing $4 pints or $12 pitchers of Peroni and Blue Moon. Cheers!

Mosaic Park (544 N. Pollard St)
Via Metro: The field is a short walk from either Ballston or Virginia Square Metro stations on the Orange Line, behind the Gold's Gym in Ballston. Visit www.wmata.com for Metro information.
Driving: Off street parking is available BUT limited. We recommend metroing or walking to the park and walking the short distance over to Front Page.

This season, we are posting all league photos to Facebook albums, which allows for interactive commenting and now TAGGING! Anyone in the league has the ability to tag friends, teammates, etc., so please check out our photos throughout the season and let the Facebook connecting begin!
Charity
At the end of each season, winning teams from each division are awarded a cash prize to donate to a charity of their choice. We have donated to many local, national and international charities. Things to Know on Game Days
Each Tuesday, make sure to check in with a black shirt at the park, where you will be paired with the team you are playing against. In case of inclement weather, make-up games will most likely take place on Thursday. Check out our rules for more details. Standings and pictures will be updated a few days after your games are done. Please be sure to observe park rules on game days.
Feel free to contact your league manager, Tristanne with any questions. Become the mayor of DC Bocce - Arlington by checking in on Foursquare when you arrive for your match, and DC Bocce @ Front Page when you get to the bar!
